Tip: Many growers start spores on LME/MEA, clean up on early transfers, then finish on Rapid Rhizo (or use Black MEA when contrast matters).

What Is Agar and How Do I Use It?

Agar is a jelly-like medium used to grow and isolate mycelium in sterile conditions. Add a tiny amount of spore solution, tissue, or liquid culture to the plate and incubate. In a few days, you’ll see mycelium growth—then you can transfer clean sectors into grain jars, spawn bags, or liquid culture.
